In terms of ensuring that blind and visually impaired persons have access to training material which will help them to learn how to use different pieces of technology, like their smartphones and especially their computers, Blind Accessibility tips has that covered. However, we recognize that persons with vision loss will also have the need for other forms of support to help them along their journey of adapting to blindness. There are several organizations across the world which provide services and support for persons who are blind and visually impaired. Additionally, there are other important resources on the Internet which give good information for them. So, to take a more wholistic approach, we have created this page to showcase what is available on this website as well as some additional places where persons with vision loss can get help.

 

Blind Accessibility Tips Windows Computer Training

In this training, we seek to teach the blind and visually impaired to use the computer with the help of a screen reader. The training focuses on the PC or Windows computer and will also focus on the screen reader NVDA. To be clear though, most of the maneuvers and keystrokes discussed in these lessons can also be used with other popular screen readers, like JAWS.

 

Blind Accessibility Tips Basic iPhone Training

Our aim with these lessons is to help people with visual challenges get acquainted with and learn how to use the iPhone. Many of the concepts discussed, especially as it relates to navigation, also apply to the iPad. After grasping the basics of understanding this device in these tutorials, they will then be ready to take on more complex actions on the device which are also very blind friendly.
